When conducting an experiment, why should you do 1 gram stain and then do another gram stain 48 hrs later?

The experiment says to perform a gram stain with the slant culture and then once your inoculated plate has grown (within 48 hours) do anohter gram stin. This step ims important so do not skip it. There are several reasons you need to perform 2 gram stains....
