Should other councils follow Swindon's lead and remove all speed cameras?

i applaud swindon council for that. it wont cost lives .its one tiny bit of our freedom back too. i saw a town somewhere has removed the majority of its traffic lights and traffic is now running more smoothly. more common sense like this is very much needed
